Hey Jenny,

Thanks for the tip. I think that sounds like a fabulous idea, but I don't think there is any way we have enough time to get Alethea's room set up and then also tear down and re-set-up the nursery. We may move the crib to Alethea's big girl room for a while if we can, so that she gets used to sleeping in the room before we introduce the big bed, but we'll see how fast we can get the room set up. All the options make the transition very complicated and I have no idea how she will take it, but we do have a deadline, so we'll just make the best of it that we can in the time that we have.

My sister and I are 2 years and 9 months apart. My parents put Katie in her big girl bed about 4 months before I came along. They took down the entire nursery, and set it back up about a month before I was born. That way it was easier for Katie to transition to the big girl bed. There was no more baby stuff in the nursery, it was time for her big girl stuff and big girl room. And then when they set it up again, they explained that it was for the new baby that was coming. This way the new baby wasn't getting Katie's things... Katie had time to adjust to her big girl stuff and accept that the baby would get the baby room....

Just food for thought. I know you're busy and probably won't feel like taking apart and setting up the nursery again, but it might help Alethea's transition!

I can't wait to see pictures of Alethea's big girl room!

Labor day colors are your union colors if you have one. Or just use your favorit party colors. Use the Twins.

I'm either dedicated to decoration, or I just don't know when to quit. I heard once that perfectionists spend 90% of their energy getting the last 10% correct that non-perfectionist miss and I thought "Oh, that's me for sure." But I don't see how the last 10% doesn't bug people!

I think it is the nose- there is something similar about them, that is for sure! You spent several hours mixing paint to find the perfect shade?!? You are dedicated to decoration for sure!
