Welcome to BobbleHeadBaby

A few of you have asked for it and since it’s been an idea floating around in my brain for a while, I finally did it.  I’ve started a blog.  I have to confess that I’m not convinced I have too many interesting things to say, nor am I so self-deceived as to think my life fascinating enough to impress the masses.  However, I will soon have cute baby pictures to post, and I figure that’s worth something.  Right?

Since I don’t have any baby pictures yet, I thought I’d start out by explaining the name of the blog, BobbleHeadBaby.  For those of you who already know the story, thanks for bearing with me.  On the very day in August that I took the test and found out I was pregnant, Peter and I were sitting in our living room talking about what a child of ours might be like (ie. strong-willed, passionate, musical) and then discussing what he or she might look like.  It was at this very moment that Peter made the following observation: “Between your big head and my big head, it will be like giving birth to a bobblehead doll.”  After smacking him on the arm, I had to admit that was a distinct possibility, since both Peter and I have larger than average hat sizes.  Thus began our inside joke where we called the baby “Bob” for “Bobblehead”.  Actually, the word “Bob” has become interchangeable with “baby” in our house.

So that’s the story of BobbleHeadBaby.com.  I hope you enjoy it and please leave comments!

I will be posting a birth announcement here whenever the Bob arrives, so stay tuned!

  4. The room looks very nice. I remember when I was waiting for my

Much love to you and Peter… the 11th would be a nice date… and not too
far away… Let’s see what she has planned.

  6. Names.. My Dad used to say the worse thing that you could do to a boy
is name him after his Dad. In our family my grandfather had a brother
named Earl. He had a son named Earl and he got stuck with the name
Early boy and it was embrassing because he grew up and jointed the Army
and was way over 6 and half ft tall. Than my Dad had a brother named
Earl. So they were often in the same house. My Dad would get so mad
when he get a call that they would ask is Earl there. Now who do you want to talk to Uncle Earl, Early boy, or brother Earl. Sometimes
    he would just hang up.
