Flagstone path laid down in bean – check!
Mulch removed from in front of porch – check!
Gorgeous new lighting installed to replace these el-cheepo we hated them so much solar lights – check!
Giant boulder moved into bean (nearly crushing Peter’s wrist in the process) – check!
Sore back, headache and tons of dirty laundry – check, check and CHECK!
Still to come:
An even more gigantical boulder to be moved (why did we think it was a good idea to let Alethea pick a rock at the landscaping store?)
Finish putting down river rock where mulch used to be.
Fill in cracks of flagstone path and tidy up bean.
More laundry.
And of course…
PICTURES!
…stay tuned…
Did you get to make the blueberry ice cream? Seems like it was all work and no ice cream. After all your rocks are in place, you will not want to see anything that looks like a rock. ie rock candy[smile]
your “bean” looks better than any other type of raised bed in the area. It is looking SO good!
Pearl – yes, I made the ice cream on Thursday. It’s mostly gone now. I’m already pretty sick of rocks and we’re not done yet!
Denny – thanks for the compliment and for coming over to watch the girls yesterday! When I’m in the middle of a project I can never tell if I like the way things are going or not. It’s nice to know someone thinks we’re headed in the right direction.
I love the river rock, and bet it will be even prettier when wet. Just hope the girls don’t get into collecting “pretty rocks”!
